[Gracie's Mom]

Gracie has been really itchy the last couple of days. She's been licking her feet whenever she lays down, and laying down on the carpet and scooting her whole body across the ground. What can I do to help her? I know she doesn't have fleas, but that's about all I know. She's going to the vet to be spayed Friday, what kinds of things should I have him check for?

Gracie's mom. have you given your cat a bath lately? I could be that there is something in her coat that is causing her to itch.

No, I've never given Gracie a bath, because she freaks out everytime we turn the water on. I might try it, though, if you think it could help. What kind of shampoo should I use? I've got baby shampoo and ferret shampoo-would either of those be okay for a kitten?

They also have kitten shampoo at the pet stores but baby shampoo is pretty gentle so that would be good to use also. Good luck on the bath, I know my cats give me **** over bathtime which only comes once in a loooong time for them! :wink:

I have a couple of cats that have loved baths-Hopefully Gracie won't give me to hard of a time!
