my friend of 18 years is dying of kidney disease.
he won't eat only drinks water and is on fluids
sad to say he won't last too much longer
am i selfish for trying to prolong his life
which is not very good now, he weak, doesn't know or isn't aware of
what is going on around him. He had 18 wonderful years and maybe
ready to hang it up. He is not in pain but his condition is such that
his body is failing and clouding his mind.
should i let him go and celibrate the time i had with him or try and
prolong it .

HI Buster,
I am sad that you and your friend have to go through this - it is part of life and it is so unfair. I am relieved to hear that he is not in pain. If I were you I would put everything into balance and decide what is best for both of you. May you and your friend find comfort and peace
