I have had Stella for about a year. She had alot of problems with URI's in the beginning. For the first few months. I got her from a shelter and took her to the vet ASAP and told them to check her out good. Bloodwork and all. Yesterday she seemed kind of listless. And she felt so hot. We took her in to the vet today and he said he is going to test her for AIDS!!!! They said that as a young kitten they can't test her. I don't remember anyone telling me that, and I've had cats all my life. It may sound stupid, but I didn't know this! I would have had her back there if I knew it! I have 5 other cats that she is around, one that is one month older than her. They play, run, fight and bite like young cats do. (Both just over a year) Now I'm worried sick. The only symptoms she has is no appetite and one eye looked a little watery, and the fever. The fever is near 104!!
I'm scared to death. They are keeping her for a couple of nights giving her fluids and stuff.
