i've had my kitten since tuesday and since then, the cat insists on being on my shoulder. when she wants some petting she'll come down to my lap but other then that shes on my back. i have some photos of it which i'll upload later.

i mean she does everything on my back, she'll sleep, clean, meow, look around, lay down. right now shes curled up right below my neck and is sleeping. its getting kinda hurtful for my back to have to slump over all the time.

anyway to get the cat to lay down elsewhere say the bed, floor, chair, anywhere?

also, when shes downstairs with me, she wants on me but when shes upstairs, she dont care where i am cause shes to busy doing kitten stuff. why does the kitten want to be on me when shes got an entire basement to explore?

I don't know, but she must really love you! And you must love her or you would worry more about your comfort than hers.

I'm not sure why your kitten likes it up there but I'm sure she likes having the view and the perch. Maybe you can buy a kitty condo for her to climb and play in and place her there any time she climbs on you.. that way she gets the message sooner or later

thats a good idea but she has that meow that must makes me do whatever she wants.

Well I know what you mean, that little devil knows how lure you in to do whatever she wants huh?! Who can resist that cute meow, not me!

I have a similar kitty who likes to basically do the same things yours does! Moxie has always been a super-loveable cat. She prefers to cuddle with me with her paws on my chest or wraps herself around the back of my neck like a scarf. This is especially true at night. She'll crawl into bed and flop down with half her body on my neck! I have to move her several times before she gets the hint that it's not too comfortable for me.

If you're persistent with putting your cat down when she uses your body as a climbing post (or get a climbing post!) I'm sure she'll realize that it's probably not the best place for her to be.
