I was wondering the same thing. I don't think Velvet would socialize with other cats very well.

Heard about this on the radio last week. Supposed to be a trial thing - not to be open for long, at least at first.

But they said they would considering opening other venues if it took off!

Seems to me that it is a better idea for dogs - animals who actually like to be around others of the same species. Do the owners even know cats?

Yeah, like my cat would sit and tuck into a bowl of kitty food when I had something better. It'd be kitty chaos. Furballs whipping stuff of folks plates, hissing under tables, peeing in your handbag!!! what a daft idea

My cat really likes other cats too. I have a couple friends that will bring their cats over and she always tries to play and cuddle them. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone with cats as friendly as hers, so she always gets hissed at or picked on. :(

Juli,

Same thing happens here too... Tyra's met the other kitties in the other apartments on my floor, and they always end up hissing at her even though she's so much smaller than them!

Kitties are so funny.

I think it's nice that they're trying doing something for cats because dogs are accomdated at many places but I really don't know if my cats would go for it or many other cats for that matter. The other issue I have are health matters.

It would be lovely if it worked, a nice way for kitties to socialise but I've enough trouble keeping MY food(that's my food Cleveland :) ) with just one cat never mind lots!

It even made the 5 o'clock news in Hawaii! It's nice that there is finally something for cats, but I'm not sure mine would even enjoy it. Maybe there's a reason there isn't anything for cats! Although, it is good for those of you who have extra friendly cats. My problem is that it's "Meow Mix." I've been through h*ll and back to get my kitties eating the RIGHT foods and now I'll be damned if I take them there to eat junk!!
