Hello!
LittleWill (10 months) started with little sneezes, now their strong wet sneezes. I don't see any nasal discharge yet, but I did see a tiny bit of crust below his eyes (not that I know the crust thing is normal, I'm only paying super attention now that I think he's sick). If this is a little cold is it normal for it to just pass&fade away? Do I need to take him to a vet or can I give him the equivalant of kitty Chicken Soup (he already eats the chickensoup kibble!). He has a regular appetite.
Thanks!

What I would do? Although I hate vet bills like everyone else, I would take him to the vet just to be sure. A little peace of mind can go a long way. :D

Dunga sneezes since we got her. She doesn't sneeze all the time but at least once a day. I thought it would stop but she is now 5 months old and still sneezing. (I guess we will have to visit vet if it never stops)

I asked Dr. Jean some time ago (about Dunga) and she actually told me that it's better to let her be than to give her some medication. Probably depends how serious it is. :?:

Here are three threads that deal with similar symptoms - if you keep a close eye on your baby you will be able to tell how serious it will get and act according to the advice offered in the replies posted. It may not have anything to do with Feline Herpes Virus and just be something that will go away quickly without any medication. I have tried Dr Jeans's advice (Thank you :)) with the Easter C powder and one of my kitties got better without needing any antibiotics..If it is caused by Feline Herpes Virus try the L Lysine- it worked for us - Best of luck :D

ps if the discharge from the eye is dark you shouldn't worry. Yellow-green is not good. Frosty had conjuctivitis and didn't lose appetite.

Thanks for the advice! Very helpful!
I think the eyes are fine and the sneezy link has good information.
He just came from the shelter so I think it's just a cold and will let it run its course with careful observation. If any weird symptoms come up I'll contact the vet.
Thanks!
