I have a 1.5 year old female cat (Filo) who used to suckle at soft clothing/blankets while kneeding. She seems to have grown out of this but has taken to kneeding my back, side, front when I lay down for bed. She mainly does this to me and not my BF (although last few nights she's beeing kneeding on him too). She purrs all the time while doing it & will stop eventually to go investigate something/go to sleep. She does it in the mornings as well especially once she's knows I'm up. If I try and pet her she backs away and kneeds furthers away, on my legs lets say. I don't really mind unless I'm laying on my back and she's on my stomach/ribs (OUCH!) or half asleep.
Any ideas why she's doing this, if this is normal?
