Does anyone happen to know why my cat stripes licks the bathroom garbage bag? I find it very unusual?

Any feed back would be wonderful.

My Kitty does that, too! My female cats don't do it--just the male. Anywhere there is a bag--he is licking it! I don't understand why they do that!! @@

I have a bag chewer/licker that lives at my office. Maybe they just like the feel of the bag on their tongue?

Bag Lickers

YES, I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE. My cats love licking bags. When I've brought home bags from shopping, bags in trash cans, plastic bags period. What is with that?

Another wierd licking problem is licking photos. I'll be trying to put pictures in an album and I'll have 2 cats licking the photos before I put them in.

I think this has to do with something Angelzoo mentioned. Apparently pets can smell the fat from the animal rendering process that produces plastic. I basically got from this that plastic (and leather) smells good, so many cats like to lick and chew it.
