Yesterday evening I noticed my cat has sort of a lump on his back, first I thought it could be an abscess, but it does not smell at all and the skin around it looks normal. There seems to be a little scub though. Today it looked like some liquid has come out but still it doesn't have any odor at all (I have heard abscesses tend to smell quite horribly?). Should I worry already, or is it fine to wait until Monday and then see if we need to call vet?
My cat allows me touch the area and he doesn't seem to be in any pain, but there's no way I'll manage to shave his fur off or open the scub - last time it was done by a vet with the cat being under full sedation, as he gets way too aggressive with any prolonged manipulation.
