These things happened a while ago, but they still confuse me.
Luna was sitting on my stomach when i was in bed , I was petting her, and she was purring.
Suddenly she jumped up and bit my nose!
I had to pry her mouth open to make her let go!
And she was purring the whole time!

And another time, she was curled around my head, purring then started kicking my head like a kangaroo fighting!

The same night, she bit my ear, while purring.

Why did she do that?

She definitly wasnt growling.

She just got a little overstimulated and wanted to play. She was trying to initiate play as if you were a great big cat. :) That's a great compliment, but it can be disconcerting if you're trying to go to sleep.
Closely watch her body language for a clue as to when Luna is about to pounce. She'll tense up a little; you can feel that if you're petting her.
Next time try giving her a toy to distract her. Or just stop petting her when she's about to get rough.
