I just brought home a new kitten, doing all the seperation in another room for awhile, and watching them close. Everything seems to be going pretty good except the 3 yr old keeps trying to carry the kitten off. Is this normal? Or is there a possibility he may want to hurt her. He has always been real gentle just never been around another cat since he was little.

Hi wezy and welcome to the forum!
Your kitty probably is just playing with the kitten. I would think if it were something else you would be able to tell right away by the hissing and paw smacking.
He is just ecxited to have a freind I bet. Let us know how he handles things after a couple days of introduction ok. :)

Thanks that info helps, I didnt realize how big the 3 yr old was until I put them together. He does do the paw slapping now and then, but he does that to me in play. I thought! :) I still wont leave them alone just in case.
