Tom likes to lie down next to me in bed and get his belly rubbed. He'll close is eyes and sometimes fall asleep when he's getting belly rubs. Alot of times he will move to of his tail slowly, other times he won't. He likes to stretch out and roll on his back also eyes closed. Sometimes when you stop the belly rubs he will lift his head and peak his eyes open to let you know why you stop. Question is tail tip wagging bad/good? I've read that when cats fall asleep or close their eyes when having their belly's rubbed it's a sign of total trust.

If the tip of Tom's tail is moving slowly, he's relaxed. If the tail is flicking back and forth forcefully, it generally shows irritation.

Exposing their tummies is definitely a sign of trust. :) And it sounds like Tom is one of those kitties who just loves having his tummy rubbed. My Celia was just like Tom: if she was lying on her side and I was petting her, the tip of her tail would move back and forth. If I stopped, the tail stopped, and I'd get that same look: hey, that felt good! Put those hands back! Another kitty I had hated petting anywhere except on her head. She would routinely roll over on her back, all paws in the air, and look over at me. It looked like an invitation, but when I tried to pet her, all four of the paws grabbed my hand, gently, but with the claws out.

Did you say in your other thread that you haven't had Tom very long? He's certainly settling in well!
