Sorry for the cruddy camera phone pics, I REALLY need a decent camera. Oh well.

Here is our little stray girl. We took her in almost two weeks ago. She had been sneaking around our house, sneaking into the garage, hiding under our car, and it was really cold outside. So we put all of our critters up and opened the door and let her in, and she walked right in. We took her to the vet the next day, I was sure she was pregnant, because she had a pretty good sized belly. They shaved her belly and she does have a scar (even though they wouldn't say so for sure because I took her to the crook vet who is famous for getting you to get a second mortgage to keep you coming back) and I am now convinced she is fixed and not pregnant. And she tested negative for diseases and worms, etc.

I have attempted to locate her owner, I was so convinced she was someones cat, she is sweet as can be. I put ads everywhere, a sign in my yard, around my neighborhood, and asked everyone. We had renters in the neighborhood recently move and left their guinea pig on someones door with a note, and I'm wondering if this could have been their cat also, or if she was dumped by someone else, but at this point, it is clear, no one is looking for her. She gets along with my boys, Stephano and Taffy. Well, lets just say, they don't fight, but if they get too close, she hisses at them. Taffy just wants to mother her and he will walk right up to her face and she just hisses and growls. She has swatted Stephano, who also doesn't understand boundaries, on the top of the head (with no claws) a few times. He just walks away hurt. He is very sensitive, LOL. He really is. She is starting to play with them....as long as they don't try to touch her or groom her, she is cool. She will even lay near them, but they are not allowed to touch her.

She is in love, of course, with my husband, who it seems every cat on the planet is in love with this man, she is no exception. He spent a few nights sleeping on the couch with her, afraid she was lonely. He spends at least an hour with her before bedtime, and she just cuddles right up on his lap or next to him.

She is TINY!!! Has the littlest ears, tiniest paws...I have never seen a cat this tiny. The vet estimated she was about 3 years old. She has this tiny little kitten sounding mew to go with her petite little size. I was calling her Pip, short for Pipsqueak, but I wanted to give her a nicer name, so I've decided to call her Pippa! My daughter hates it, LOL, but she has named all of our pets, so I told her I get this one. Yes, that's Pippa, as in Kate Middleton's sister Pippa, LOL!!! It just fits her, I can't explain it :) I don't have a great picture of her, because she will NOT hold still for very long, unless she is asleep. She is not a great beauty, but she is darling. If someone wanted a cat that would curl up next to them and lay on their lap, this is that cat. I want to find her a home, hubby does not, but I have 3 cats currently in my house....something I never thought I would have. We have to confine her to our den at night, because that is when Beep has the run of the house, she is our female cat who can't be out with other cats because she is a cold blooded killer, lol, and she does not get along with other cats. She is the oldest. So boys sleep in my daughter's room at night, and Pippa in the den......it is one complicated house. But we just adore her. And I hope I can find her a mommy, but I can tell you that she will not go to someone unless they are just like me. Someone who is going to feed her like I feed my cats, keep them inside and safe. Take them to the vet if they so much as look off. They have to be insane, like me, or they just won't do. So I don't know if this is possible to find someone, but I am hopeful. Anyway, enough talk, here are my crummy pics. She is in love with this blanket. She is a little sweetheart :)

What a sweetheart! :) She looks so happy to be cuddled up on your couch with her fuzzy red blankie.

You say you're looking for an adopter who's "insane" like you? It shouldn't be too difficult to find someone who fits that description--but then, I spend an inordinate amount of time on this forum, so my perceptions might be a little bit warped. ;)

Pippa is absolutely gorgeous and if I lived anywhere near you, I would be begging to be good enough for her....although I am laying down some old dusty kibble that your hubby manages to find a way to keep her! (Only have old dusty kibble since Mocha passed....wish I could offer cat nip or wet food...)

Awww! How cute is that?! I love teeny kitties having 2 out of the 5 of my own here myself right now. Tabbies are some of the most loveable/loving kitties I've seen. I'm thinking you are right, she was probably left behind by those renters. How sad to have to feel so hopeless you abandon your pets like that. Most of the cats that come to the shelter are strays (we are animal control), and sadly no one comes to look for their furbabies. These are wonderful family pets that are abandoned or just left to roam the streets. She's blessed you found each other!
