Im very sorry to hear about this. My cat went away for about 3 weeks once, we really though that she was never going to come back. I got very worried about her. Then one day, i looked out of the window, and there she was! All of my cats have done this, they seem to go off for a bit then gone back. MAke sure you have really searched in your house. Cats can really get into small and strange places, so check places where you wouldnt even think of looking. I really hope your cat turns up soon :( . I remember how awful i felt at the time, i couldnt believe it. Good luck, and let us know what happens. :(

Here's a good tip to train her to come to you. I would start shaking a can of treats then giving her one. She will eventually know that the shake means yummy treats. It's good cause you can make it loud and she will be able to hear it from good distance (not sure how far). This is how I found my cat several times.

I'm so happy you found your kitty! I was so worried when I read your post... Thanks God she is back! You must live in the house, right?

I'm not worried about our kitties because we live in the apartment on the 5th floor. They have nowhere to go.

I'm glad your kitty came back!

It would be a good idea to consider keeping her indoors. In your avatar she looks very young--how old is she? Is she spayed? Outdoors is an extremely dangerous place for a cat...the average lifespan of an indoor cat is 15-18 years, but outdoor cats only live 3-5 years on average. Some more, some a *lot* less.

Cheers,

My cat was an outdoor cat for the first 3 years of its life. After that we moved to a place that wasn't so safe to have an outdoor cat. Who knows how long I would have had her for if I hadn't moved. The only downfall with her being an indoor cat was that she gained weight.

3-5 years on average for an outdoor cat! My cat is 4. She loves to go outdoors, and especially in the summer she will stay out for quite a while. There are alot of cars that go up and down our road, and i really get worried about her. Some days she does spend allmost all day in, and only goes out once for a short while. I dont think there is any way we could keep her indoors.
