In one way that's a good idea, so you can just focus on one board, but in another it might not be so good because let say I'm moderating Behavior but I see a bad post in Health and Nutrition. Would I still be able to get rid of the bad post if no other moderators are around even though it's not my board?
At the last site, some forums had several moderators, and others had only one or two, but if there was a post that had to be dealt with right away, and that mod was not online, anyone could edit it. Of course, it's best that mods not use invisible mode. If I was in doubt, I posted about it in the mod's lounge, and if noone answered within an hour I took care of it, but saved the post for their consideration. Pornography was removed immediately, regardless of what mod found it. It was very efficient.
If people had specific talents they were used in a forum that fit them.
There was a forum I use to go to and they had two different types of moderators, Global Moderators and just regular moderators. The Global Moderators could change, delete, move message, etc on the entire forum and the regular Moderators had a specific board they would watch over watch over.
