Unfortunately I have to move out of my flat and I am moving into a wing of a house for six months but unfortunately the people whose wing I will be living in, they have two dogs and the house is on a main road. It will break my heart that I can't have her with me at home. So my mum will be taking her in for the time I am at the new place. My mum already has two cats. One is a girl who is fairly old now so will be no trouble but the other one is male and he can be a bit dominating. I just hope my cat will fit in okay.

Any tips on what I should do to make her move into a new home as stress free as possible. I will give my mum a couple of fleece blankets that she sleeps on so that she has the scent of her old home with her.

A silly question but will my cat be okay or will she miss me or pine after me. I hope not and that she will just tag onto my mum and step dad. My step dad has a lot of time for cats so I know she will get the attention.

Cats are very adaptable. She'll probably look around for you the first couple days, but she'll be fine until she's with you again.

Don't be surprised if after not seeing you for a while she disses you or runs off and hides.
I left Samantha at my office to live with the other office cat for several weeks and when I got back she was furious at me and ran and hid.
Once I got her back home she forgave me, after that when I went on business trips I left her at home and had friends and co-workers visit several times a day.

I guess she will be fine in her new home, as long as she is getting fed and watered and getting attention.
