Hello everyone,

It's been a while since I posted here. The last time I
posted, I mentioned that I got a new cat. She is great.
Truly, pets can teach us a lot. Like my cat is not the least
bit shy of meeting new people when they come into our
apartment. She doesn't even know what shyness is, it seems.

There is a question I do have.

I'm moving into a bedroom room 200sq feet. When I take
GiGi(cat) that is all the room and space she is going to
have in there to live. Is this too small for a cat? The
litter and the food are going to be in the same room but,
as far away from each other as possible. Other than that, I'm
going to do my best to play with her. I'm just wondering if
she will be happy in this smaller place.

Which brings me to another question. I usually tie a cat
nip stuffed toy to a string and move it around like prey
and have GiGi catch/chase it or pounce on it. What other
ways do you guys usually play with you cats? What kind of
games? I just want to get some more ideas

Give her a cat tree so she can get off the floor. That expands the square footage up. We had a 700 sq ft apt for a while with 6 cats so it can work. As far as toys go try milk jug rings and pingpong balls. Tuffy's newest bestest toy is a bottletop - it has traveled all over the house since he stole it. Currently he is sitting on it in the middle of the floor. I'm sure it will travel with him wherever he goes next.

Cricket likes twist ties like off of bread bags or for garbage bags, he also loves to steal my hair bands and play with them. Ice cubes are also a fun favorite for him.
