Some cats are just fine traveling and others simply hate it. If you’re driving all day then you’re going to need a dog crate or one big enough for a small litter box. If it's just for a short period of time, she can use it at night in the motel. Whenever your cat is in the car during warm or hot weather, keep the air conditioning on. Never park in the sun when your cat is in the car. Just five minutes of direct sunlight on a warm day can raise the temperature inside the car to well over 100 degrees. Chances are good that if you give your kitty food while driving, she won’t even look at it. Give her something to eat at night at the motel. You may want to ask your veterinarian to prescribe a motion sickness medication for your cat. Some kitties can get sick, vomiting and such. Good luck with your trip!
