I just have a quick question about moving topics to a different section. I just moved a topic about finding a Ragdoll cat a new home from the general Cat Chat to Cats in Need. I replied to the post explained what I did and also pm'ed the member to let her know what I did and why. My question is should I have left a shadow of the topic in Cat Chat? I didn't think it was necessary, but I wasn't sure.

I just write a short post telling the member that I am moving it so that it will be seen by the members who might be able to help. Then I leave a shadow. This seems easier to me. Whichever you prefer is fine, but leaving the shadow can direct other members to the new forum.
