..... static cling!!

Its my first time having a ...well... i think shes long hair..might be medium, but i think shell be a long hair when shes all grown up. But anyway..ive never had a staticy kitty befor, so i dont know how to deal with this. I have a humidifier going, and that does help some.. she doesnt give/get shocks from two inches away *zap*... as much, but her coat is still really staticy. Any sugestions on how to control this or ellimenate it?

any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I've been zapping both of my shorthaired cats  I run a humidifier and do everything I can to make it go away, but to no avail. I know this sounds silly, but "ground" one hand while you pet with the other. It's not perfect, but it helps.

I don't know how safe this is for cats (the perfumes might aggravate their skin)... but when my hair is full of static in the winter, I take a dryer sheet and use it to lightly scrunch my hair. It works!
