My big boy Buddy is 14 yrs old and has diabetes. He recently had his teeth cleaned and lost several of them in the process. About a few weeks later I noticed a bulge between his eyes and pressed on it and clear fluid came out!
I monitored it for a few weeks until I decided to take him to the vet.
My vet looked at some of the fluid under the microscope and saw neutrophils which is a sign of infection. He as been on antibiotics 2 times a day for about 2 weeks now. It seems to be getting better but still has fluid build up.
Has anyone ever seen this in a cat? I have had cats all my life and live with 6 of them and never seen this before.
Just wondering if this is rare.

I don't think its rare, but its definitely a problem - especially for poor Buddy since he's so old.

My vet has told me to use baby saline spray on my cats if they ever get stuffy noses (and they have had them!) Also, keep a humidifier running! If you can, get that stinky Vick's liquid too to use in the humidifier. It will really help!
