My cat has eaten the same wet food (healthy, good stuff) for the past 3 years (he's about 4 or 5); the other day he suddenly refused to eat the food, though was meowing with hunger, and would only lick it. After 2 days of trying to give him the food (i would throw out the old, of course!), i bought different wet food that was recommended. He loved it! That was 2 days ago, and now he's not eating that food suddenly!! But still seeming very hungry, and will resort to his dry food if he's desperate, it seems. What does this mean????Thank you!!!!!!!!

Electra, It could be that, like us, he isn't hungry for the same old, same old! However, if you see any other symptoms that you think might indicate a problem, you should see the vet. Have you checked his teeth? Are his gums healthy looking? Is he losing weight? Is his BM normal? Just watch for things that are unusual, and if you notice a change in bowel habits or anything else unusual, take him for a checkup.
