Ok, got this cat, kinda like the **** type cat. This cat just loves to meow to himself, for no apparent reason. This cat spends a good 2 hours a day, just meowing, DRIVING ME INSANE!!! I don't know what to do!! HELP!!!

Sabby loves to go in the bathroom and sing to himself. Usually he stops when I say his name. Usually it's at 3:00 a.m. This morning was no exception. I've found that he will normally do it if there is no food in his dish. If that's the case for you, do NOT fill his dish if he wakes you in the middle of the night. It just reinforces bad behavior. I've gotten into the habit of feeding him just before I go to bed and that seems to help.

If it's during the day while you're home... I've read that cats will do this because they're looking for you. If you call out to them they'll be able to find you and quiet down. If you're in the same room with him and he's meowing, then he's probably related to Sabastion. At that point, we'll just have a conversation.

Him: Meow.
Me: Really?
Him: Meow.
Me: Y'don't say...
Him: Meow.

and so on.

I prefeer to talk back to Stephen in cat talk and mimic the different sounds of her meows! Makes for interesting conversation! :lol:

cujo wanders through the apartment talking to himself all the time. usually he's bored, and if i play with him he stops. he also meows non-stop when i'm in the kitchen.
