I read on another thread that it's ok for cat's to eat Spider plants. However, I have a 16 yr old cat that I just got about 2 months ago. About a week ago I noticed he had vomited all over the place. In the vomit I found some plant. Yesterday, he did it again. I removed the plant from the room he's in. But now I noticed that he's not eating. The reason Im concerned is that he is on Hyperthyroid medication. He was doing great on it for the past month. Im not sure if the vomiting/not eating is a reaction he is having from the med all of a sudden or of it's because he ate the plants. Since the vomit always had plant in it, I am thinking it's the plant but im not sure (since its supposed to be harmless).

Sometimes they eat plants if they are not feeling well...so, I'm not sure I would attribute the not eating to the plant. Your cat might be feeling bad in general.

Then again, I'm sure too much of anything, including spider plant, could make a cat vomit.
