That's how Cherry is. Currently, her water bowl is a giant coffee mug filled with water.

 

Funny! I wonder what brought on the sudden change. Oh well, go with the flow. I recently found a cool stainless steel flat bottom bowl at a thrift store for $1.50. It looks strangly like one of those bowls that holds holy water at Catholic churches. Maybe my cats will feel blessed using it! I like the flat bottom and the stainless steel qualities so I put it on the screened in porch. I have about 5 water bowls all over the house, mostly Pyrex! I bought a stainless steel Petwell 360 drinking fountain but no one will use it. Jack seems afraid of it. Weird cats.

 

Time and time again I have tried to explain to Midnight, the wild cat, that he should his OWN water dish and not a substitute. To no avail. :lol:

 

Those pics are great! I gotta get a picture of my cat sticking her entire head in a glass. It would be even better if there was a bowl full of water next to the glass lol

 

Lmao maybe Midnight likes the added duck and fox flavoring! Yuki loves drinking from a running tap or out of someone's water glass. She's so bad that I use a water bottle and travel mug around the house. I have to warn guests to hold onto their glass otherwise Yuki will dip her paws into it.

My dog has a glass of water on my headboard because he sleeps with me. Now the cat found it and seemed to like it too.

 

A friend of mine just sits a glass of water on the kitchen counter... She's been trained well.

 

One of my aunt's old cats would only drink out of the faucet, but would only drink if it was my aunt who put her up on the counter to drink. She'd meow at the sink to let you know she wanted a drink. If I picked her up (she was unable to jump up herself) she wouldn't drink. If my aunt put her up, she would.

Mom's cat will only drink out of the fish bowl, even though mom keeps her water bowl clean and full by her food dish.

 

I used to have to keep a glass of water on my coffee table for a former cat of mine (Sophie). I would tell people who visited that the glass was the cat's.

 

A few of my cats like drinking out of bowls in the sink. They'll drink from the regular water fountain too but I figure if they like drinking in the kitchen sink so be it. I try to always have a bowl of water in the sink for them.

My older drinks out of toilet, yuk, his bowl stays untouched. Kitten loves his bowl though, I hope he won't take Gosha's habit.

 

My babies loved drinking out out of a glass. But when I switched to an all wet diet, they never drink water at all. I fill the glass anyway, just in case. I feel silly doing it, but I want to know they have it if they decide to.

 

Ours always have a big bowl of water down but we'll often catch them lapping up water from the bottom of the shower. Whenever I put a glass of drink down, i have to watch it like a hawk to make sure no kitty heads go in for a drink (usually Meeka or Jett).
