Hello everyone, I have a 10 years old siams cat, he have been very sick last days he throw up and didn eat anything. So we went to the hospital and everything was stop in he's stomic. now he is back home and he have just be sleeping since he came he wont eat or drink, we have to give him a medicine and we have tried everything he allwasy spit it out we tried to mix the medicine in water but he just throw up. We cant understand why he doesnt eat anything, we got a new siams cat for 2 weeks ago and we move to another apartment. Could it be stress for him or what, It wold be very nice if someone with the same experiance could help me.

Hmm. Dunno what to tell you. Not had much (thankfully) experience with illness in kittens.

Maybe go back to the vet, see if they can help?

Did your vet tell you why he isnt eating? It doesnt sound normal to me? Getting a new cat can be a stressfull time, however your kitty wouldnt be sleeping all the time, he probably would be all keyed up around the new pet.
If your vet didnt tell you what the problem is I would seek a second opinion. It could be a serious problem and if it is he probably is in pain, thats why he is sleeping all the time.
How does your new kitty seem? Is he showing any symptoms of illness? If you have never had this problem until you got a second kitty, I would have the new kitty checked also for illness?

is it a pill medicine? try putting butter on it, maybe he will eat it then. if it's a liquid, try mixing it in with with a liquid he likes, maybe some cat milk?

I agree with Lilly, mycat - try a different vet's opinion as soon as possible - your kitty needs good nutrition every day. Make sure you ask for a lot of information - including how to help your kitty take the medication. Please let us know how he is doing. I wish you and your little baby well!

My cat won't eat or drink yet !!

Thank you all for the advice and help.
My old cat will not eat or drink yet , but what we have been doing is to force him to eat and drink by using syringe. One of our friend came her to day to show us how to doit.We have been calling everybody,hospital and people and once again thank you ..
So we hope and wich the best.But it is very stressfull to see him like that.

The little one is doing fine,.. is not ill and she is very good to my old cat. <<))

do you know what,.. my cat "Mori" was trying to drink some water !!
it was very difficult for him but it was wonderful to see.
And still I hope the best.

Good luck, drinking water is a good sign. Hopefully if the noneating still persists, you can get another vets opinion that maybe your original vet overlooked. :wink:

hi everybody !!
my beautiful cat Mori is not doing well today, not eating or drinking.
So I am trying to feed him.
We have been calling the hospital to day, and thay say the same thing.
We are very sad, .
Well still are hoping a miracle. <<))

My suggestion is to go back to your vet, or find another vet, and get more test run on this one. What was the reason your vet gave you for your cats change in behavoir and appitiet? That's what you can do right now, bring him/her back to the vet.
