My friend's cat is sick

She's 15 weeks old and apparantly small and runtish

She's not been eating, she's been lying in quiet places, only flicking her tail when people pet her and not getting up. My friend said when she does walk she's really wobbly and finds it hard to keep her eyes open. She's going to the vet tomorrow.

My friend is insisting that she's dying and will have to be put down. Any ideas what's wrong with her?

Also, she hasn't had her vaccinations yet and they let her outside in the yard.

There is absolutely no way to tell what may be wrong with the kitten. It could be any number of things. It does sound like she's in very critical condition, though, and may very well not survive until tomorrow. Your friend should be driving her to an emergency vet clinic RIGHT NOW.

Agree...she needs attention immediately...little ones go downhill very very quickly. Emergency vet locator can be found in the link below...emergency vets are open when regular offices are closed (nights and weekends).

Find a place! THE CAT IS REALLY REALLY SICK! It needs attention NOW! Since it has had no vaccinations and is outside it could have a variety of diseases....my moms cats always died because her parents wouldn't pay for proper food and care...

There's only 5 in the UK and none of them are less than half a day's journey a way =/
Chasey, that's not true. Almost every vet surgery in the u.k has an emergency phone.

Did the cat get to the vet today? How is she?
Apparently she died thisafternoon =/ My friend said the vets said something about it being her liver. Doesn't TB affect the liver ? I was wondering beforehand if she had TB, especially considering she was outside without vaccs.

That's tragic, and it might have been preventable if your friend had taken her to the vet when she first stopped eating. Cats who don't eat for more than 24 hrs are at risk of developing hepatic lipidosis, a potentially fatal liver disease. I assume that's what happened to the kitten.

I don't know if TB affects the liver, but I do know that it is a rare disease in cats. Hepatic lipidosis is far more likely. Cats aren't vaccinated against TB, anyway.
