As a kitten he got a upper respretory infection, a really bad one, it popped his left eye, so now he has 1 eye.

But the infection left something in his eye, we figured it wasnt a problem. But now its bigger, and now he is blind. He creep's around now because he doesnt know where hes going.

He smells us and knows where we are, and always pur's when we pet him. I tink he is scared, and feels comfurt when were around because he knows he is safe.

What can we do about his eye? I could post pictures of it if you want.

I am not familiar with this but I am sure there is something you can do about it. Just don't give up and keep on searching online + ask your vet also. You know what they say about blind or deaf people - the seem to be doing extremely well after getting used to it.
I hope you will post pictures of the sweet little braveheart :)

mm I didn't even think of braveheart - the movie for one second..I just meant he is brave ..it takes courage to surmount the lack of eyesight.

cat going blind

If the eye is getting larger, he could be developing glaucoma. This is an extremely painful condition. If the eye is nonfunctional and painful, it should be removed. It's not a difficult surgery and will make him much more comfortable. Please have him seen by your vet.

Cheers,
Dr. Jean
