Today my friend and I went up to Casa de los Gatos, in Tucson, to deliver a portable air conditioner that was needed for their Felv house. I was stunned when we walked it and saw a cat that was the spitting image of my rainbow bridge cat Mz Tess.

The stocky bobcat looking body and the same sweet temperment. I sat on the floor and held her in my arms and cried. She was marked exactly to a tee like Mz Tess. Make me wonder if they are related somehow. She is 3 years old and has Felv but seem very healthy and unaffected by it. Im so tempted to take her home.

Her story: Petfinder Adoptable Cat | Manx | Tucson, AZ | Candi

The other cat by Candy is her manx daughter that has felv also.

FeLv and FIV cats are hard to adopt out. Candi and her daughter could be at the No Kill shelter for years.

My sister has an FeLv cat. We refused to put him down. My vet vaccinates all the other cats and everything is fine.

Best Friends started adopting FeLv cats into homes with other cats that are FeLv negative. This is slow to catch on in the shelter/ rescue community. Isnt her story sweet?
