New cat and new place

Hi everyone, should I combine introducing a second cat and moving into a new house?

I have had my 2-3 y/o cat for about 6 months. In the next few months I am moving and I am planning on bringing a kitten into the family. I know there are adjustment times and stressors related to both of these events. I am thinking that if I do both at the same time (first day in the new house is the day I bring the kitten into the picture), it might work out better. Neither would have territory established at the new place, and each cat would be adjusting once to the end goal. However, I could also see this as being worse as the stress could be overwhelming. Does anyone have experience with this or advice? I could also move first and bring in the kitten later.

Thanks!

That’s a tough one but I heard introducing younger cats is easier then introducing older cats or introducing a younger to an older one. I adopted two at the same time. A move is a pretty big change but how friendly is the cat you have now ? Very outgoing and follows everyone etc. those are the cats introductions go easier with. My sister had 3 cats. One passed at a very young age. A sudden heart attack is what dr thinks. So my sis went to the APL and adopted three kittens for her 2 year old to play with. He loved all of them quickly and I think was so happy he had all these friends to play with. So I would do it. Since your cat at home is so young. Just make sure they are all neutered or spayed before bringing them in
