i agree that it's probably a change in diet. if you can find out what food she was eating before you got her, get some and if you want to change it, do it gradually, mixing the two.
also, in my own experience at least, kittens make worse smells. probably from the kitten food, but if it's young and eating kitten food, that might account for the smell.
