I got a kitten from the shelter last Saturday. Her name is Bella, and she's the sweetest thing in the world. I love her so much!!
On Monday, her eyes started watering which I know is a sign of a URI. I brought her to the vet on Tuesday and they gave me an eye ointment, told me it was conjunctivitis and not a URI because she wasn't sneezing enough. Sure enough the next day she was sneezing like crazy so I picked up an antibiotic for her on Thursday. She's been on it for 2 1/2 days now.
She doesn't play at all like she did. She sleeps all day long. Is this normal for a kitten with the flu? How long before this thing runs its course? I feel so bad for her. She's having trouble breathing through her nose, and she just looks depressed. Her eyes are watery, and she's sneezing and coughing. I feel so helpless. Should I worry about FIP? I read somewhere that the symptoms can sometimes be like a URI.
