Hello from Toronto!

I currently do not have any cats but I want to adopt one this summer. I joined so I can learn more about them & also, I enjoy hearing stories about cat antics. Overall, I think they are beautiful and I'm intrigued by them. Im sorry I did not get a cat sooner. I have questions about selecting a cat which I'll post later. Thanks!

Glad you joined, flower! This really is a great forum. We've found tons of really helpful info here, and the support here from everyone during the tough and sad times with your kitty is the most incredible thing, too.

So, I'm curious. What made you decide to take the plunge and adopt a cat? I personally got started completely by accident when we took in a stray. I was like a born again cat fanatic from that point. Cats truly are so loving. And if you find one that you have an instant mutual attraction with, the bond can be profound.
