Hello all. My name is Jared and I'm the dad to two wonderful kitties. The reason I'm on here is because my cats have been living together for three years and have gotten along nicely. We spent the night out of town last night and I came home today and found one cat completely resentful of the other to the point of hissing and growling at her. I don't know what is going on

Wow, something happened. Hopefully it will pass. Are there outside cats they can see? Maybe it's misdirected/redirected aggression. One cat gets upset at seeing a cat outside and takes it out on the other inside cat.

Try giving them treats together, this will make them think that being close to each other can be a good thing.
