Hi

I'm new here, I have 2 cats Ollie (Ginger & white) normal domestic male who's 10 months old and Max ( sliver tabby) female who's 8 months old both are netured.

Ollie for the past month from about 2am will wake us up by meowing very loudly, climbing and knocking stuff off shelves, ripping our bedroom wallpaper and opening doors to our children's rooms. Which we shut at night as he was waking them up in the night and they were getting up tired in the morning.

These cats are constantly getting attention, I work from home so they aren't home alone.

We are awake from 2am every night and he will not stop until we are up and when we do get up he stops and lays down goes to sleep. Any suggestions on how we can stop this behaviour.

Cats are nocturnal so they do tend to be up at this time. My cats used to do the exact same thing. They are young and love to play and do the things you’re describing . I suggest to buy cat condos. Big cat condos you can’t go online and find some that are inexpensive. I would get a few they will definitely hang around them if they like them i they probably will. And I suggest to leave some dry food out at night in case their tummies get hungry they can munch on that. That will keep them full and should let you sleep later. My cats would actually lift my eyelids with their paws! To get me up seriously! He was hungry once I left the food out it stopped. And the condo they will hang around in them . Hopefully this helps try it I am sure that it will make them happy and you happy!
