I have a young cat (about 2 years old), and I feed her kibble. She never seems to want to finish all of the food in her bowl. She will leave some behind, and then beg for fresh new food. Is this normal? Any way I can encourage her to finish all of her food before I give her more?

I've been through this with my girls. You could pick her bowl up when she walks away, then put it back down when she wants more food. Cleo never wants to completely finish her wet food, which is a problem because once a day it has her medication in it. I pick it up, then put it back down where Charlee eats. She'll finish it because she thinks she's stealing Charlee's food. With kibble, you could put the leftover kibble back into the kibble container, then put "fresh" kibble in her bowl. Sometimes it's a mind game and you just have to try a few things.

You also need to be aware that kibble goes stale after about 24 hours. You should empty the remaining food and refill with fresh once a day.
