Hi,

I have a 9 month male x persian (indoor cat) who was desexed in December 2003. We had hoped that he would settle and become an affectionate cat, however he seems to have moody aggressive moments.

At times he will purr and will come to you for a cuddle and then once he has you in reach he will lose his temper and lash out with him biting and scratching. Another odd thing that he has developed in the last few days is that he sits in the bathtub and stares down at the drain for long periods of time.

We thought that he maybe bored as he is an only child and have constant play time with him as well as an unlimited supply of toys but this does not seem to help.

Is this normal behaviour and will he 'grow' out of it as he gets older?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
