My old cat Precious (about 13 yrs) has a hairball problem. Well, I bought her different hairball foods and finally found one that work pretty well. But every once in a while when she does throw up (not hairballs anymore) she runs straight for her cat food and eats. I was wondering why she does this. I feed her dry food (Perina Cat Chow) and every now and then canned food (nine lives). I have even taken her to the vet and they checked her for digestive problems. She is very healthy. what would cause her to do this? Thanks.

How does the vomit look like? Frosty did the same thing over the week-end - well I am assuming anyways that he is trying to throw up a hairball and he throws up this saliva like matter. We are going to the vet tomorrow for his last booster and I also broguht this problem up when I made the appointment. He hasn't had problems so far with the hairballs. I can't wait till I find out everything possible tomorrow. I will let you know. Best of luck with your baby- I strongly hope there is nothing too serious
