this has been happening everynight for the past week. right when we are about to dose off, she starts yelling and sprinting around our apartment, which is a one bedroom so needless to say her lap time is quite short. she jumps on our bed meows in our ears, and it doesn't matter if we wake up and pet her or feed her. it is making us tired all the time and if it continues it will surely begin to effect our work. PLEASE HELP US!!! thank you.

Is your cat a kitten? You can try playing with her before bed time. Get her really tired out playing with cat toys, chaseing strings, ect. then at bed time she should be ready to go to sleep.
Alsoif you work all day and your cat is home alone, I would suggest getting another cat. This way they can play together and they wont bother you as much. When I was younger I had a single kitten, he would wake me up every night wanting to play! It drove me crazy.
Then when I got minnie and Jerry, they just play with each other and leave me alone. You may have to close the bedroom door if they are to crazy at night. However if they are playing all day they would probably be tired at night and ready for bed.

Get another cat, it will keep them company and leave you alone more. I have 2 myself and mainly only Sugar will wake me up and meow but when I kick her out, oh the meowing under the door begins. Well, play as much as you can with them b4 bed and also I know its hard to ignore them since its a 1 bedroom apt. but eventually my cats both got better with time. They sleep with me no matter what time I go to bed like 8 hours or so without waking me up. Then when I get up they start meowing and getting hungry again.

Good luck :p

This used to happen to me...

This same thing used to happen to me when I first got my cat and lived in a small apartment. I agree completely with playing with your cat before bed. Even if it's an extra 5 minutes. It sounds like you have a small apartment which doesn't allow for tons of exercise. My only concern with another cat is that you're making a small apartment even smaller by adding more bodies. Anyway, that's my two cents...playing with my kitty seemed to do the trick!
Good luck.

I always make sure I keep my cat active from the time I get home until I go to sleep. Cats seem to love sleeping during the day and being active at night, so I worked on reversing this. I wake her up and get her moving when I come home for lunch and then when I'm home for the night. It's seemed to make a difference in her levels of activity at night.
