I have two cats, and my family is having a problem with one of them. This cat has lost a fair amount of hair on the tummy and the inside of the back legs. This seems to happen with grooming of the area. At first, we thought it might have been fleas, but flea medicine didn't solve the problem, so I don't know what to do now. Feeding has always been regular, and I don't know that anything was changed in the cat's routine. I guess you can describe the cat as being a little tense or nervous in it's overall behaivour, but this hasn't been a problem before. The cat is neutered and is a strictly indoor cat.

This can be due to a lot of things and requires a visit to the vet for a proper diagnosis and treatment. Dryness/itchy skin and stress are two common causes, but there are several external parasites that can do it, too.

Cheers,
