Just brought home A new kitten, it is 10 weeks old, breeder Says it is currently eating royal Canine feed 32, he also gave me Some, will it be good If i mix some Chicken breast into the cat food? Also Breeder said he only eats small amount

Also the kitten pooped in the carrier when i was bringing him home

Some of the poop is formed, the other appears liquid (diarrhea). Continue to feed the Royal Canine the breeder gave you, for a few days. The diarrhea, may be a digestive upset because of the change in environment. When his poop firms up, then you can give him a little bit of chicken (1/2 tsp.) and see how he tolerates that. Any food changes should be made very gradually over a week.

Yes, "kitten food" is higher in protein and fat than adult food, and the kittens needs that for proper growth, so change over to it gradually as well.

In addition..... You should soon consider feeding canned food rather than kibble as that is better for your cat, especially one that has no grains (no corn, wheat, barley, rice, soy) and no carbs like potatoes, sweet potatoes, and or any fruit like blueberries or cranberries. A cat is an obligate carnivore=meat eater and doesn't need those kinds of foods.

Here's a good article on cat nutrition:

Sometimes cats poop on carries and such when they're afraid. I had to start bathing my cat myself because everytime he'd go to the pet shop, he'd just poo all over the handlers, on himself and everything around him. My cat never ate adult dry food, but he never had problem with royal canin for kittens. As of recently I started feeding him raw, and he's visibly better off than he was when I was feeding him just kibble.

As for the other question, well, mine used to poop like 2 or 3 times a day when he was smaller, but now that he's bigger he just does it once a day. 4~5 times with that kind of consistency may be something to worry about. Keep an eye out for fever and weird behavior.

thanks, the poop above was when i first got him, his poop is quite solid now :)
but he seems to like to eat and poop a lot too :)
4-5 times :)

planning to introduce him to freshwater sardines.
we have them here . Will try to supplement his feeding with fresh water sardine :)
