You mention "dripping by the box's side"....do you mean she has diarrhea? Is this something new? Her poops should be formed well rather that they are dripping. Your cat should have more than one litter box in another location in a low traffic area. Dr. Elsey's Cat Attract Litter I found is good to encourage cat to use the litter box. For diarrhea, in some canned food, mix one teaspoon of pure canned Pumpkin--no salt or sugar/syrup added---not pumpkin pie filling.
