I have a 1 year old kitten named Reilly. He is a "rescue" that I rescued when he was 4 months old. We call him Wild Man because he acts semi-wild. Not in the feral sense, he is just different than any other cat we've had. He acts more like a ferret, eyes and head always darting around, distracted by everything. He is not a laid-back type of cat
. One thing I have noticed about him, this has happened maybe 3 times, maybe twice. We'll all be sleeping and he will be on my bed sleeping and I'll wake up to him boinging off the bed like something startled him out of sleep. One time I don't know whether it was because he heard a mouse in the walls and I was waking up to him springing off the bed to check it out. Needless to say, it somewhat concerns me as, like I posted in another forum, I read once that nightmares can be a sign of internal problems with one of the organs of the body. As far as I know, Reilly is healthy except for the Feline Herpes Virus. One of my cats who died suddenly from cardiomyopathy used to growl and snarl in his sleep. Reilly isn't doing that I don't think but it still concerns me. When he has been at the vet they've listened to his heart and nothing was mentioned. Other than this, he seems to be a healthy well-adjusted cat except for his behaviour quirks. He is afraid of people though even though we have very few visitors and the stress level at our house is low.
