Is it ok to give brandy to cats?

Probibly not a good idea, but pebbles got drunk on sherry once....
my boyfriend left his glass out and she drunk loads of it, fell over. She ont go near sherry anymore, I wouldnt do it again tho :\

that's what's in Rescue Remedy, which many members swear by on these boards. It's apparently 27% brandy alcohol!
