'Neko Atsume' is the addicting app where you feed cats - CNN.com

My wife and I have found this game called Nekoatsume. It's basically the mobile version of being a crazy cat person (which we all are to some degree :D ).

The game is in Japanese, but after reading the tutorial, it's really easy to figure it all out.

https://welcometowonderland.wordpress.com/2015/03/25/how-to-play-neko-atsume/

You put food out in your yard in an attempt to attract different kinds of cats.
You don't get to keep the cat, but you can take their picture for your album.

They have a variety of toys, beds, scratchers, etc. that you can use to bring cats of all different looks to your yard. There are even a few "special cats" if you bring out the right items.

If the cat if very happy with you, he can even give you a special treasure to show you that you have been very good to them.

It's a free app and though you can spend a little money in the game to acquire more in game currency, you don't really have to. My 3 year old plays it on our iPad and she already has a lot of toys, and a decent amount of currency in her account.

It's a great app to have if you're a cat lover and you don't have to spend much time in it at all. I usually log in, check to see if there is food and if there's a cat that I don't have a picture of, I take a quick snapshot for my album.

This is fascinating. I'm looking at the guide (who took the time to write that?!), and the game looks absolutely adorable - and waaaaay too potentially addictive!

Ok, I'm trying out the game. And honestly, I'm one of those people who never download games onto my phone! :p

I've noticed there are a few app guides (in English) to this since it's in a foreign language, so if you don't want to keep looking at those tutorial links you've also provided, the app guides are also a quick way to figure things out. In this game, it seems like patience is a virtue, unless you have lots of silver or gold fish (currency). :)
