I'm a simple girl...I like cheese (ANY kind...I am originally from Wisconsin after all ), and LOTS of bacon on my grilled cheese. OMG, now I want one! NOW!
As far as sammiches go, I'm also pretty simple. I love cheese (again, any kind), with turkey or roast beef, very few veggies, and LOTS of mayo (seriously, my arteries are probably clogged with the stuff now..). Salt, pepper, oregano, and oil/vinegar are good too.
Also, I am not a fan of hot sammiches...unless it's a grilled cheese or something ment to be hot, I want it cold.
I have two distinct variations of pretty much all the 'junk food' I eat. The crappy version, and the homemade 'I feel like cooking' version. Unfortunately I've been a slave to cravings since I was a kid, so if I crave KD I have KD...but if I'm craving my mom's homemade macaroni and cheese KD will NOT do!
With grilled cheese I'm a fan of the nice and easy basic version - crappy white bread, margarine, and cheese slices.
The 'good' version involves a grilled chicken breast sliced nicely, tomatoes, mayo, mozza, cheddar, butter, salt and pepper, sourdough bread (ideally home made, but a really good grocery store loaf will do in a pinch) and TIME. lol It's good stuff though.
I regularly freak out my SO since I'll get random cravings and HAVE to eat the target food NOW. Especially the first year we were dating, I was under a lot of stress and that intensifies the cravings. When he caught me drinking pickle juice straight I thought he was going to have a heart attack XD Now he just knows to 'feed the beast'
