Has anyone here ever had to give a kitty a sedative before??? We have an extremely nervous/high strung kitty. She freaks out when it's vet time. We have tried many times to get her to the vet however she gets so upset, fights us, and will then hide. we tried before xmas to take her to the vet for her annual checkup. She hid from us from 11am till 2am. (approx 15 hours) She was petrified. 
So we have to give her a sedative prior to her new apointment........this weekend coming up. Any one with experience with sedatives? What should we expect??? Any help is greatly appreciated.
