Hi! I have a 17 year old Siamese cat who has chronic diarrhea. It's been going on for over a year. Vet could find nothing wrong. I feed her a spoonful of tuna in oil every evening. Could this be causing the diarrhea? Other than her diarrhea, she is healthy, good appetite, playful, very loving and beautiful!

Please help! Thank you for any help you can give me.

Have you tried to stop giving your cat the "tuna in oil" for a while and see if that makes a difference? I have noticed that often extra oil from fish or whatever will cause loose stools. Could be she can't tolerate having tuna every day. Tuna can contain mercury which may be harmful as a neurotoxin.

A lot of cat food has pumpkin in it now. I gave that to my kitty when she was throwing up, and it seemed to solve the issue immediately. I don't know what the magic of pumpkin is, but maybe try it?
