Single PTSD war vet with 2 cats
Hello. One of my two cats just died suddenly. I am still blaming myself. I went off to war between 2002-2008, but my two cats were in the best of care with my mother. After I exited the military, I relocated to another state. My female grey and white (17 yrs) was doing good, then suddenly collapsed and died. Maybe a stroke? I took her to ER, but apparently she had suffered brain damage.
If I could do it over again, I would have just held her in my arms and kept her airway open, rather than practically throwing her in that hard plastic pet carrier and tormenting her at the ER. I am still in shock.
