hi
I'm a new kitty mummy and need some advice. My baby boy is nine weeks ol and ca be as sweete as sugar then turns to demon cat :) He is getting quite a biter and although it's not overly painful jnust now, it will be when he's bigger. He is worse during the night as he keeps it up all through our sleeping. We've tried playing with him till he's fit to drop but he'll still wake us every two hours for a pounce and chew. We've tried the firm no, putting him off the bed, even a squirt of water. My husband is starting to resent going to work with little sleep. Even if we keep him out the room he cries so loudly the neighbours can hear. Help! I love him to bits and want to make us a happy family. I'm concerned that he's youger than we originally thought and is missing his mum or littermates attention and guidance. :?

Congratulations on your new baby :D It sounds like your kitten is just being a kitten. The sugar-than-spice routine is normal,my suggestion is to give him a toy to chew on when he starts biting while playing, try not to encourage chewing on your hand. It will hurt more when he's bigger! At night if you cannot tolerate him in your room close the door and ignore(hard to do) his protests, in a few days he should get the picture and won't cry as much. Another idea is to get another kitten as a play-mate.2 kittens aren't much more work than 1 and it's twice as much fun  If you do get him a friend make sure they're pretty close in age so the littlest one won't get beat up by the older one. Good luck!
